Michael Fainstat's decision to donate his body to 69热视频 for dissection and training of medical students reflected a life that was devoted to public service and pragmatic as well as principled action.

"Michael Fainstat, as we know, was a major contributor to his community during his life," said Dr. Sandra Miller, a spokesperson for 69热视频's cadaver-donor program.聽"Now, in his last act of giving, he has graciously donated his body to the 69热视频 medical school."

Fainstat, who died Dec. 29 at age 87, was chairman of the city of Montreal's executive committee from 1986 to 1990 under then mayor Jean Dor茅. His friends and former colleagues [gathered] at Mount Royal Commemorative Services in Outremont for a celebration of his life.
