During the month of September 69热视频 will host the 14th Annual Pow-Wow (September 18) and the 5th annual Indigenous Awareness Week (September 21-25). 69热视频鈥檚 Indigenous Awareness Week is designed to increase awareness at 69热视频 about Indigenous peoples in Canada. The week honours the many Indigenous cultures across the country including First Nations, M茅tis and Inuit.

The 69热视频 Research Centre for Physical Activity and Health (PATH) presented their first annual symposium on Friday, October 3rd at the 69热视频 Faculty Club. Entitled Making Connections, the Centre鈥檚 inaugural seminar event gathered prominent researchers from 69热视频 and elsewhere who have an interest in studying the relationship between physical activity and health across a broad spectrum of healthy and diseased states.

A new study by Carsten Wrosch of Concordia University and Catherine Sabiston of 69热视频鈥檚 Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education found that breast cancer survivors who were able to let go of old exercise goals and set new ones increased their level of physical activity and showed an improved well-being overall.
