Congratulations to BCom students Sarah (Zeshi) Wang, Pragna Patel, Alex Buisson and Yurou Zhang for their third-place finish at the Melbourne Meets 2022 Virtual International Case Competition last week hosted by the University of Melbourne (AU).

With 12 schools competing in 3 divisions, the Desautels delegation won the North American division, beating out the聽University of Southern California, the University of Alberta, and the host Melbourne team. They went on to place third in the final round for their solution to the case, proposing the Melbourne Writers Festival revitalize the event after two years of it being held virtually using blockchain technology and NFTs to attractive a younger audience and improve long-term sources of funding.
