From dropout to airline mogul: how Wow Air鈥檚 CEO made his own success
Desautels Professor Karl Moore writes in the Calgary Herald that Icelandic businessman Sk煤li Morgensen鈥檚 low-cost carrier Wow Air is only the latest company that he has founded since he started his first business while he was still a student.
Mr Morgensen credits a philosophy professor with giving him the impetus to flex his entrepreneurship muscle. When his first company took off, he dropped out of school to dedicate himself full-time to business.
As for his airline, the business plan is all about making travel less of a luxury. Wow Air also makes heavy use of social media to keep marketing costs down.
