Mazoff, who most recently served 11 years as president of online lender Thinking Capital, brings to the role more than 20 years of leadership experience and a customer-driven approach that leads to strong growth.

Desautels places second at Lazaridis International Case Conference
A Desautels BCom team has secured second place at the 2019 Lazaridis International Case Conference.
During the week of October 13鈥�19, 12 schools from around the world gathered for the event at Wilfried Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario. Desautels was represented by four BCom students: Devon Haye, Sara Duklas, Aleem Damji, and Angel Miao.

Alumnus uses sustainability education to grow urban agriculture business
Inspired by his studies in Entrepreneurship and Managing for Sustainability, Thibault Sorret (BCom鈥�18) has accepted a management role at a Montreal-based urban agriculture company. Lufa Farms, co-founded by alumna Lauren Rathmell, uses hydroponics to grow pesticide-free vegetables, fruits, and other plants for 17,000 local customers.

After sustaining a series of injuries, 21-year-old BCom student聽Oc茅ane Fillion聽has officially retired from competitive snowboarding. While she vows to hit the slopes as often as she can, the former Slopestyle and Big Air champion will focus on earning a business degree at 69热视频 and acting as a coordinator for the Quebec Snowboard Association.

Mirko Bibic (BCom 鈥�89) will succeed George Cope as the next President and CEO of Bell Canada next January.
Since he joined Bell Canada in 2004, Bibic has played a pivotal role in the company鈥檚 strategic acquisitions, including the largest acquisition in Canadian telecom history with the purchase of Astral Media in 2013.
