FAEQ awards $30,000 in bursaries to incoming 69热视频 student-athletes
Six incoming freshmen to 69热视频 have been pegged to share $30,000 and are among the 35 recipients of recruitment bursaries totalling $165,000, announced last week by the Quebec Foundation for Athletic Excellence. The amount includes five awards of $3,000 apiece, distributed to Canadians from outside Quebec who have chosen to pursue their educational and athletic careers in a Quebec university.

鈥淭he gallery and I were conceived at the same time,鈥� says London, son of Jonas London, an office manager and 69热视频 commerce graduate, and Elca London, who held a master鈥檚 degree in psychology from 69热视频 and worked at psychiatric hospitals. His mother鈥檚 means of earning a living was about to take a creative turn when Mark was聽in utero.
Walking for a cause
One day, almost 10 years ago, Christine Boutros felt something she will never forget.
She remembers it like it was yesterday: 鈥淵ou know when you sit on your leg for too long and it feels tingling? I thought it would pass but it didn鈥檛,鈥� she explained.
A few months later, Boutros, at the age of 45, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), an autoimmune disease of the central nervous system. 鈥淚t was kind of surreal,鈥� she said.

BCom Students Win 2016 National Investment Banking Competition
Two Desautels BCom student teams took 1st and 2nd places in the Undergraduate Division at the National Investment Banking Competition (NIBC) held on March 23 to 24 in Vancouver. Every year, the competition attracts more than 330 teams of undergraduate and graduate students from top business schools around the world. It is recognized as one of the most prestigious financial case competitions in North America.

The challenge of merging new acquisitions with company culture
There are two different kinds of acquisitions: 鈥榮cale acquisitions鈥� and 鈥榖olt-on acquisitions鈥�, and we tend to focus on the latter. We like to buy a technology and 鈥榩lug it in鈥�, because our sales force and distribution channel are second to none. The last six deals we鈥檝e done were all about technologies or products that we wanted to own. In these cases, some of the management team stays with us, but we鈥檙e really taking on a new product and adding it to our existing culture.
