On June 8, to kick-start the summer term, prosecco and fancy sandwiches were shared among several members of the department including professors, administrative staff, and graduate students.
The event also comprised of a popcorn game which entailed throwing a scrambled piece of paper in the air and guessing which fact referred to the individual who wrote it. It was a fun way to learn about each other, and to see which secrets belonged to who! Among our group, we learnt that we have several creative individuals including a baker, cheerleader, mathlete, toboggan expert and even a fully-fledged belly dancer!
Thank you to the Department's Wellness Committee (Andrea Zdyb, Ruotong Wang and Maxime Pirenne) for organizing these events which aim to create a positive work culture within the office.
