Dr. Sharif currently leads a听 within the Cell Information Systems group, focusing on identifying novel pain sensors, discovering the mechanisms of chronic pain, and translating these lab discoveries into effective therapies for patients. He听is also the Director of the , a member of the 听and Associate Editor for the journal . He has received several awards during his career, including the and the Early Career Award from the .
