Monica Anne Batac听is a Vanier Scholar and doctoral student at 69热视频's School of Social Work. A teacher by training, Monica's research and practice focuses on capacity-building and community collaborations in the immigrant-serving sector

Monica is committed to improving the wellbeing of Filipinos in Canada through community-based research and practice with an explicit interest in addressing knowledge to action gaps.

Monica鈥檚 recent work focuses on improving local, provincial, and national community-based interventions for Filipinos across the life course, including newcomer youth, Philippine trained teachers, front-line workers in the social services sector, and seniors.听In addition to her social work research, Monica also studies knowledge mobilization practitioners, brokers, and researchers, and social media and technology integration in higher education.
