Letter of Understanding
All PhD students in the Faculty of Engineering are required to submit a
Letter of Understanding (LOU) to their department at the beginning of their program. A LOU form is a tool used to clarify mutual expectations between a supervisor and supervisee. This helps ensure the success of the graduate student.
Study Plan
All PhD students in the Faculty of Engineering are required to submit a Study Plan at the beginning of their program to their department. A Study Plan can be prepared in any format. This is a basic plan of how you plan to complete your degree. All Study Plans should be signed by student's supervisor(s). Common formats for Study Plans are one-page graphs, timelines, and written plans.
