The 69ÈÈÊÓƵ Nursing Collaborative for Education and Innovation in Patient – and –Family –Centered Care was inaugurated in September of 2012. It is supported by an initial gift of $6 million to the founding partners - the Ingram School of Nursing and the Nursing Departments of the 69ÈÈÊÓƵ Health Centre (MUHC) and the Jewish General Hospital (JGH) - by the Newton Foundation and the partner institutions’ Foundations and donors.

As of September 2018, the 69ÈÈÊÓƵ Nursing Collaborative is facilitating more than a dozen ongoing projects, with the direct involvement of over 100 nurses working in Montreal. These projects tackle a wide range of issues in nursing practice and education, from providing leadership training to nursing clinicians and faculty, to helping 69ÈÈÊÓƵ students make the professional transition from student to nurse, to improving opioid monitoring for adult patients.

By facilitating collaboration between academic and clinical settings, the 69ÈÈÊÓƵ Nursing Collaborative helps to support innovations in improving nursing care for patients and their families.
